Our Story: How The newVital Was Born

The newVital was born from a personal need and a professional passion. After more than a decade in the beauty industry, I started to notice thinning hair—less volume, slower growth, and a lack of shine. My brother was experiencing similar concerns. He had been using Minoxidil, which showed some results at first, but the side effects—irritation, redness, and scalp dryness—became too much, and the long-term risks didn’t sit right with him.

We wanted something that worked—without compromise. So we combined our experience and knowledge to create a solution that was both natural and effective.

Over 18 months, we worked with trichologists and natural health experts to develop a formula powered by plant-based ingredients. We focused on harnessing the power of New Zealand nature—especially native botanicals like Harakeke, a traditional healing plant known for its soothing and nourishing properties. Harakeke oil, along with Eucalyptus and Lavender, is grown on my orchard in the Wairarapa, Wellington.

We didn’t just stop at the formula. We knew the delivery system had to suit real life. With busy lives and little time for fussy routines, we played around with different packaging before settling on something unique—a precision rollerball. It took months to perfect the roller size and bottle design, but the result was worth it. The rollerball not only stimulates the scalp gently, it delivers just the right amount of oil—so it’s effective without ever feeling greasy.

I use The newVital 2-3 times a week on both my scalp and brows. My hair is stronger, shinier, and noticeably fuller. And yes, my beautician now trims my brows before shaping them—thanks to The newVital.
